In 2020, our 10 acre garden of magnificent tulips and other spring flowers will create a spectacular display from 12 September to 11 October. Hundreds of blossom trees nestle between the flowers and provide a magic pathway to the cascading waterfall and watercourse with classical music wafting through the air in the hidden valley. Take the popular pathway past the rosemary field framed by unique blossom trees to our 70 metre high viewing platform for the perfect photo.

Our magnificent gardens are in the hidden valley adjacent to the Federal Hwy and only visible on entry. If coming from Canberra, continue on the Federal Highway past the overhead bridge for the Sutton, Queanbeyan, Gundaroo turn off, we are only just down the highway a little further on the left- just look for the large sign. The photos below give you an indication of our signage to look out for. If you have a GPS, please put in 20 Old Federal Highway, Sutton NSW, drive past the first set of double gates until a you get to our main entry.

The picture below shows the view towards the Federal Highway from our 70 metre high lookout of traffic heading past our hidden valley. When you cross the Yass Valley bridge you are adjacent to our valley gardens.

    • Roxanne,

Unfortunately a visit to the gardens prior to opening is not an option. Being a private garden it is the two of us getting the gardens ready, mowing, weeding, watering and setting up marquees, coordinating deliveries etc. It is a shame that you are leaving prior and if you cant stay a little longer, we encourage you to become ‘friends’ with us on facebook which will enable you to see the pictures, read the posts and feel a part of the festival for 2012. All the best, Pat & Bill

  1. We visited last year – it was the most beautiful gardens I have ever seen especially with the blossums falling looking like snow on the ground. Website is nice however there isnt any address or opening hours or details and photos dont show how lovely it is.

    • Hi Sue,

Just move your cursor to the tab you want and double click. We look forward to seeing you this year. TTG

  3. During a recent trip to Canberra to see Floriade, friends suggested we also go to Tulip Top Gardens just out of Canberra. A short walk down a beautiful blossom lined pathway led us to an unbelievable site, far beyond what we expected. Tulips of every colour and variety cascaded around carefully curved beds, lovingly cared for and surrounded by every coloured viola and pansy that you could imagine. We were speechless. If we thought The Floriade was good, then this had to be outstanding. We were in tulip heaven! There were seven in our group and we were stunned by the care and generosity in providing such a wonderful display for others to share. We didn’t want to leave and we thank you for your enormous community spirit and hard work in making this experience possible. A highlight for our trip. Wow!

  4. Hello we are planning a trip to Canberra around Floriade and then my mum suggested we see your garden instead. She said it was much better than Floriade. Do you think my 2 little boys would enjoy your garden? They are 4 and 6. Do you think it would be a nice trip for our family?
    Kind Regards
    Caroline Beresford

    • Hi, it is definitely a great choice for the whole family of different ages. it is like a paradise to my daughter (8years old) and me! Cheers. Le

  5. Last year, My daughter and I visited 4 times during her school holiday and the ticket lady recognised us straight away! We were not charged for the 4th visit. Needless to say, it was such an amazing place to visit. It provided me with everything: music, romance, coziness, beauty, peace of mind, and good food and so much more!

I told the ticket lady (sorry I can’t remember her name) that We would visit more the following year (2014) and would bring along someone else!

We will come soon with our dearest friends after 21 September! They must love this garden, I bet!

Thank you so much for your great work! Well done!

  6. Having visited Floriade this year for the first time I was disappointed. We then stopped on our way home at your gardens and were absolutely delighted.
